Call for Papers
The Australian University College of Divinity invites scholars, doctoral candidates, and others working in the theological and wider academic community to propose a paper for the AUCD 2027 Learning & Teaching Theology Conference by 28 February, 2027.

Acceptance of papers will be communicated as proposals are received.
Presentations will be 20 minutes, with an additional 5–10 minutes for questions & interaction. A selection of papers from the conference will be subsequently published as the next volume in the AUCD Press Learning & Teaching Theology series.
Guidelines for Paper Proposals
The title of the proposed presentation, with an abstract of 250–300 words, should be submitted through the Call for Papers Link – https://form.jotform.com/261870806755062 by 28 February, 2027.
The title of the paper and its abstract must articulate clearly the line of argument that the paper will take, indicating its contribution to research or scholarship in the chosen area.

Keynote Speakers:
Brian Edgar
Brian is Emeritus Professor at Asbury Theological Seminary in the United States and was formerly Academic Dean and Lecturer in Theology and Ethics at Melbourne School of Theology. Brian is the author of The God Who Plays: A Playful Approach to Theology and Spirituality (Cascade Books).
Brendan Hyde
Brendan is Associate Professor of Education at Deakin University, where he has researched children’s spirituality for more than twenty years. Brendan chairs the International Association for Children’s Spirituality and is a Fellow of the Centre for the Theology of Childhood (Denver, Colorado). His research employs phenomenological approaches to explore children’s spirituality, play, and the lived experiences of teachers and students.
